A network is a mesh. A number of tracks or roads, the convergence towards the same goal or objective. Or a number of organizations and individuals working toward common goals. Women’s networks have emerged in recent years in all regions to work on issues such as health, education, development, human rights, environment, etc, have something of all these meanings. Result, more than anything, a joint action toward a common goal: the recognition of women as citizens and subjects of rights.
The essence of a network includes a flexible, diverse and democratic, where decisions must be made in landscape mode and removed from the upper echelons of power. Those who came from an institution of this kind, but they’re often feel difficulty to represent all their individual needs. But the organization “Network” is true and important for its ability to promote the voices and actions of groups and individuals.
A determining factor for the future development of networks, new communication technologies, such as a permanent communication network is no network. It is therefore necessary for women to give us the tools that are now the communications revolution.
Currently, the health network is closely linked to many others in the region, including the movement of women’s health and those working for nonviolence and human rights. Given the national importance of these organizations to strengthen health movement, regional and global levels, is the Health Network as one of its main tasks set for the formation and strengthening of national networks of support in this area.
